ANTIQUE SCRIMSHAW "CAPTAIN'S" CANE
A
very heavy cane made with a large carved whale ivory knob - baleen spacers, and mounted on
a heavy palm wood shaft with a whalebone finial. This type of cane is often called a
"Captain" type because many captains carried this type for defensive purposes.

origin - Circa 1840 - 1860.

original and in fine condition. 33.5" Long.
