ANTIQUE NANTUCKET LIGHTSHIP HANDBAG
A
very pretty oval swing-handled basket. Signed on bottom "The Wooden Jug, Nantucket
Island, 1965". This basket has the best cover - a solid oval ivory top with an
applied ivory seagull - it's original ivory bodkin, and ivory handle knobs.
Made
in 1965 by The Wooden Jug Makers (Cliff Road).
In
superb condition with a beautiful mellow patina. This is a highly desirable basket
considering its ivory top, condition and color.
